Thanks for the warning. Of course using a secure library is preferred. Though it's really hard to use something that isn't very well documented and I just have a few months of experience working with C. Which is also a potential d

Funny that this shows up today, as what I've spent time on today is to create an image reader for sending images over the NFC protocol. I've been so frustrated today by trying to get libpng to work, but landed on this library one

Has anyone tried ZFS together with Hadoop/HDFS? I find it to be a really interesting combination because of compression and self-healing of bad data-blocks.

Comparing C# and Java is so last decade. I don't use Java because of the language, but because of its enormous toolset and awesome community. If there is something I can't do well with Java, then I have Groovy. I will most likely

I've been using 3 mirrored drives for the last few years because I want extra protection. Think about it, one drive suddenly dies and you need to resilver/resync a new drive. What if there are some bad blocks on the existing drive

Groovy isn't slow. My guess is that the performance is quite similar, where Kotlin is faster in some cases and Groovy is faster in some other cases.

I have a shiny new MBP too, but I have no problems getting 9-10 hours from it by just browsing the web(with safari) and watching videos. IntelliJ however eats some of my battery pwoer, but I still manage 7 hours or full work day.

How do you do this? Are just using a proxy? I use mod_jk with Apache. With mod_jk you use the AJP protocol to communicate with Tomcat. It's one line in your Apache config and a few lines in /etc/libapache2-mod-jk/workers
