It has been a huge productivity boost for me as an assistant (not full auto-pilot). Some examples: 1) add relevant indexes to my database schema (it will analyze the code and look for columns that should be indexed). 2) write a Typescript t

If anything, I'd argue it's overrated by non developer and underrated by experienced developers. I just started using Claude Code 2-3 weeks ago and productivity boost has been massive, but I definitely have to stay involved.

That's a broad question, and I don’t have time to give a full answer right now — but I recommend checking out some classic talks by economist Milton Friedman on YouTube. He explains tariffs and subsidies really well. For example: http

If there's any upside to Trump's tariff shenanigans, it's that they have turned a lot of Democrats into passionate free traders.

That's besides the point though. I was criticizing the study's misuse of statistical models, not public funding of R&D.

No it wouldn't be "fair" and it's not just if you want to monetize your app. D-U-N-S number is required for developer account creation regardless of whether you plan to monetize or not.

I don't know what you are talking about but I'm generally skeptical of macroeconomics as a field - especially its frequent misuse of statistics.

I'm no fan of Trump, but it's important to approach studies like this with a healthy dose of skepticism. Macroeconomics isn’t an exact science, and studies like these often rely on dubious assumptions and extrapolations. For examp

Suppose China and the U.S. each produce 10 tons of steel. GDP PPP would consider both economies equally sized (and they arguably are), but nominal GDP would favor the U.S. because steel costs more there. GDP PPP is more useful if you want t
