Mini has historically had the most amazingly satisfying physical switches/knobs/dials. I mean, the Start switch is fantastic [0]. But unfortunately, it looks like their newer models are now adding a touchscreen :( [0]: https:

Attaching a crypt coin to it only makes sense if it's more fully decentralized. The fact that it is centralized is why it's confusing. We run the VPN and they get the money. In something like Lokinet, the whole thing is distribute

For me, Get Programming with Haskell by Will Kurt was much better than the 1300 page Haskell book. I loved it. https://www.amazon.com/Get-Programming-Haskell-Will-Kurt/dp/...

This is consistent with 2 major trends in social networking projects: 1. The closer the relationship the faster the communication 2. Different levels of privacy should be in different UI spaces entirely (fiddling with privacy settings on po

There used to be a list of deplatforming events that had the person, the platform, the date, and the alleged reason for deplatforming. I have no idea where that is hosted now though.

Assuming the hardware kill switches work, you're right that the wake word is a big issue. Would be nice if it worked offline with something like this: https://picovoice.ai/products/porcupine.html A demo of it work

If so, you don't have to trust Facebook, which is nice. But it's why I'd like to see this in the hands of a reverse engineer. Maybe Purism can review it haha.

Yeah, it's not clear to me. Do the limitations of the Free tier still apply to open-source projects? It may help to just add a third box up top for Open Source or something. I didn't think that there would be a totally different t

LiveView makes basic functionality of websites only work if you have a constant, high quality connection to the server. Even things like UI changes require the server connection.
