I'm a SWE by day. But on my personal Mac all I do is have a tons of Chrome tabs open, Discord, Apple Notes and Spotify. Once in a while I'll compile and run random projects off GitHub (nothing too heavy) for fun. I can get by with

The date was announced in December already. Is there some new information here, or are we simply re-litigating Google for this decision because hating them is the thing to do now?

Do they double check the information for hallucinations? I'd personally be scared to promote usage of this for someone (especially a senior) who wouldn't have the ability and discipline to.

I know people on HN love to hate on Google, but at least they're a major platform that's TRYING. Mistakes will be made, but let's at least attempt at moving forward.

Anecdotally, they have been very frustrating in the Bay Area with this El Niño rain season. Not as reliable. Many ruined plans, but I have learnt my lesson.

It's sad season 1 of Foundation was rough to get started. The latter half and season 2 are amazing.

I barely follow Pixel phone news, and even I knew it was only the Pro model that could do this. What kind of reporting is this?

I've found it to be 10-15% more expensive for local SF rides than Uber/Lyft.

This isn't really debilitating. Yes, it's a big "bug", but that doesn't make the product unusable. OpenAI effectively had a global outage on ChatGPT.

They used ML to get a ~40% cooling efficiency on their datacenters. It's mentioned in a talk by Cassie Kozyrkov.

This is very divorced from reality. Past a certain point your classes and professors don't matter much. You go there to be surrounded by smarter people, with better connections, better extracurricular programs, and the name brand recog
