Too bad it only shows how fast it cools, but not how much longer it'll retain that temperature! Or is there a different video for that?

These days, rather than figuring out exactly which commands and which params to run, it's faster for me to just run it through a simple Pig [1] script and be done with it. [1] http://pig.apache.org/

I actually think it would lower the cognitive burden: often enough I want to share something geeky, but then need to weigh that off against the non-tech followers (= increased friction). No idea if the whole circles concept will succeed tho

I don't understand? I don't like Apple's geographically segmented marketplace either, but in the end it's not too big a problem to get around.

Which is fine, as long as one doesn't display links to a lot of different users on one page (like an avatar alongside comments, hosted on the <user>.site.tld domain). As long as all those different user domains don't appear on one p

Yes, loved the Matrix representation myself too. But then again, look at the Kill Bill one. It's not as "yellow" as I associate with the movie (I think the packaging gives me that "yellow feeling"). But then, there is this one lonesome yell

In dutch "@" is pronounced as "apestaartje" which means literally "monkey tail". An overview of the literal meaning of @ in different languages can be found in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/At_sign#.22Commercial_at.22_in_... According to

It would be so cool if Google could engineer that process the other way around. Instead of me giving Google my number, why can I not dial into a phone number of Google (with my own number hidden). I think that would a) get more friction you

How about starting with the application/business metrics first (as those are presumably easier to articulate). As things fail over time move down the stack (infra/system) to get earlier warnings?

While it's relatively easy to comment on the stuff that gets to the homepage that shouldn't be there, the actual stories/discussion that don't make it there are a loss to our community. F.ex. I found the 7 comments and a brief appearance o

Interesting, it hints at some "machine learning"/"behavioural targeting" on Google's end then.

Any chance on a nice Demo video? With the App costing 10 bucks, it'll be nice to see it in action before moving in for the buy!

From personal experience (lived in 3 Just-eat.com "countries") I would say Denmark is the biggest. In the cities, there's a really high coverage of restaurants -- and not just fast-food either. The problem for restaurants is pretty interest

It's a bit unhandy to not use the build in contact finder. Theirs doesn't filter well. Also, when I need to fill out my phone number, just let me pick "me" from my contact list, easier.
