You forgot democracy. Note that this bill was introduced by the people, not the government. In Switzerland, as long as you can get 100'000 to sign a referendum, you can get a bill to be voted on. We also vote 4 times a year on bills, t

Ah my bad, only a year ago and I already forgot (we do vote 4 times a year though, so hard to keep track of everything). 6 is even sillier in my opinion.

Yes we Swiss have this weird habit of voting against things that look like they would be a benefit for us (in the short term). I voted against more paid holidays as I think 4 weeks (minimum) is enough and forcing everyone to raise it to 5 w

Every adult gets 2500/month, so a family of 2 adults + 3 children would get 5000/month which is nowhere near enough in most places in Switzerland.

Agreed. My quality of life got a lot better once I switched to (monthly) contact lenses. Half a year ago I switched to dailies which was again a drastic improvement to my everyday life. I've been toying with LASIK but to be perfectly h

The difference is that the TGV you mentioned was a highly modified version just for this speed record. The L0 [1] shown in the video is planned to be the production train and run 500km/h in actual service. [1] http://en.wiki

do they restrict their offer to certain countries? my ID card is all in Japanese so I'm not sure how they'd verify that as they could most likely not even read it.

have you ever played desertbus? I think rather than debating whether it's the worst game ever most people would argue it's not a game at all. I recommend you try one of the ports if you haven't yet.

the android version donates all the proceeds to Childs Play through Desertbus for Hope. I can't remember hearing the same about the iOS version during last years event but I'd hope they did the same.

uplink works. defcon doesn't, unless you some manual "patching" (download the demo, fire up defcon in wine/windows to get your steam key, activate it on linux). It'll eventually come though.

There's a trend to use VoIP on cellphones too (see LTE). So in the future this will not help at all.

It would be better if it grayscaled the favicons too. They look like out of place splashes of color in the browser now.

Am I just blind or where the heck are those ads on Ubuntu? I use it exclusively all day and I just cannot find ads anywhere (other than on websites in the browser, but that's not Ubuntu's fault).

@endtime: There's no full changelog unfortunately, we have to change this in the future. For a list of changes from 2.0 to 2.1, read http://bit.ly/e2lyep . From beta3 it's just a very long list of (in some case serious) bug fixes.
