One thing that I have really come to like with Heroku is the pipeline. fly.io doesn't have one (I don't think?) and render isn't the same; it rebuilds for different stages and there's no concept of 'promoting'

Still weeks away from enabling the GitHub integration again, you can still manually deploy via the heroku CLI. Our team realised heroku was going to take weeks and we’ve replicated our “review app” development workflow with GitHub actions t

I’m interested in peoples experience with this and if it’s relatively true. We (like many others I assume) pay more for Heroku than AWS as it allows us to “outsource” our dev ops. We are a small team (sub 15) with a decent sized, decade old

I’m not OP so can’t answer your question literally. If you’re questioning why use the phrase “elite” and not professional or competitive: You can be a professional (by definition being paid) athlete and still never be in the top 10% of play

If you're on MacOS: I used to use LICEcap but then I found myself wanting more (still basic) features, like the ability to trim recordings, export to video formats etc. Now I use Kap, it's the perfect balance of simplicity and fea

Anecdotally, I have an iPhone 8 Plus that for the last 18 months or so I've nearly exclusively charged with my Macbook Pro charger, and the battery health is at 82%.

Ignoring the “no hope” clause and in the spirit of entertainment: some napkin math has a 40ft shipping container holding around $60m in dollar bills. People would look a lot harder for that than camping gear!

I’ve been a (paying!) customer for Tower for around 5 years. I prefer using a GUI over a CLI for git; Tower makes drag and dropping cherry picking easy, multiple select to squash etc. Highly recommend you take a look (I’ve tried others and

I’ve had a paid account with Fastmail for probably going on 8 years I’d say. It’s been a fantastically reliable service and the odd (perhaps 3 or 4 times) I’ve needed to reach out to support it’s always prompt and a real conversation.

While I generally agree, pre-acquisition Instagram didn’t have a web viewer. You could only use it via the app, which required you to log in.

This is generally (in my circles at least) what parents do regardless. As in, provide equipment and an environment to have fun and learn. My anecdotal experience is once kids get to around 5, they start really wanting to form consistent soc

I’ve made a SaaS app that essentially automated what the author is describing. In most circles it’s referred to as “flexible eating”. My wife struggled with keeping weight off and counting macros has been the only effective way to do it, bu

I'm not a chef by any means but I'm a busy person who eats (aren't we all!). I don't like to limit my choices to 'quick healthy meals' as some deliciously healthy meals take a long time to prepare and cook, and

I'm not sure what 'worth it' means, as to me there's no trade off that would make it 'not worth it'. But to answer why do I enjoy having kids and why do I enjoy being a parent (2yo and 4yo, third on the way): -
