I think this just explains that physical books will be practical and widespread until we see some groundbreaking eBook user interface that can match those benefits (I'm not holding my breath).

But that is common to most languages. Arrays are something fundamental enough to warrant a place in language syntax.

Variable-width fonts help with natural language, to detect phonemes or even words. Unfortunately, we are mostly dealing with machine language, where audio is not so important, so character-by-character reading is the norm.

However, what he said is spot-on. I am looking for some discernible "point" in the hope that the comment is not just the arbitrary expression of an individual's taste, which it now clearly is.

`ncdu` is a godsend. It's like `du` but usable for troubleshooting. None of the following from this list are obscure: screen, vim, rsync, xargs, curl I'm tempted to put ack in that list.

To tell you the truth, I don't know of any other good sites that have stuck it out. Is there some resource for this? At one time Mininova et. al. were viable, if not superior, alternatives, but if I recall, several of these sites went offli

Google crawls publicly available data and uses it -- scandal! This is getting old, but it seems like some people still need a reminder: If you submit information about yourself that you know will be publicly viewable, you have no right at a

My main point is that only those who cannot be bothered to learn the language's finer points (I don't consider these to be amongst them, but as indicated by this blog post, others do) will reap significant benefits from using a tool such as

Oh, I just meant that those (confusion with `this` and `var`) were pretty silly things to point to in praise of CoffeeScript, as they are so easy to understand and fundamental to JavaScript. Like you said, CoffeeScript is aimed at a broader

If you can't be bothered to learn the behavior of keywords as fundamental to JavaScript as "var" and "this," then yes, you'd better be using some wrapper. Items (3) and (5) seem to be the only valuable features demonstrated here, and (5) sh
