That really does suck, is there anything you can do to prevent this sort of thing? Mortgage through a credit union or something?

This is a fantastic opportunity! We could come up with the next gen bogeyman for the coming century! Guys, we've got to beat the dragon masters to Mars! There's no telling how much swooping they'll do from that high!

That's a very interesting theory on what's going on with trump's tax returns and why he won't release them. It also fits with him being audited so frequently. I wonder who/what could be the debt holder!

At McDonald's they specifically market it as "the fish" in a non specific way. In a fine dining establishment they do actually market it as a particular type of fish. And particular types of fish do typically have different a

The end result you describe isn't much different than a number of 4 year undergraduate degrees, PhDs or masters programs (all at "good" colleges). The best advice I ever received was to not pursue a Ph.D. in philosophy. It&#x

I believe the saying is "Lies, damn lies and benchmarks". That said, he does make a case that elm is competitive with other frameworks, which is all anyone should take from a language benchmark, in my opinion.

In that s-expressions are a notation for computation, they can be executed by an interpreter. This is what we refer to as execution. Even assembly is like this, there's no other reasonable way for it to work right now. This feels like

I think what this really gets at is that callbacks are a shitty concurrency primitive. They certainly make sense from an implementation perspective (I've got this interpreter and I want to do concurrency... I know, I'll just use i

Having looked up variants just now, I can definitely see how it would be useful. It seems (to me) to fall into the same category of macro-like things that enhance the expressiveness of the language. I think the most important point is the i

With respect to Clojure, you don't write macros, but many of the really interesting language features within Clojure are built upon macros. (core.async and core.match come to mind). It would be difficult to add them without macros. I d

I'm biased, but there's a big difference between "learning lisp" (well enough to transliterate that python program) and really getting the code as data concept. I'd say that learning X really well is always a positi

To add to this, Most of them compile to native. I think the exception is CLISP. Certain implementations have both because compiling was costly at one point.
