I to have also been avoiding Amazon, and mostly just ordering stuff directly from companies. Most of whom use Shopify, it doesn't do all of what your suggesting but shopifys "Shop" app seems to handle the tracking part pretty

Thats because in most places in the US driving is a necessity in order to function in society. So we need to make it stupid simple for people to maintain a drivers license, less we want them to end up homeless. IMHO the only way for such a

Because people are riding their bikes and walking to get places, not just recreationally . Those bike trails are probably great for a nice weekend trip, but not getting groceries or going to work.

One thing I learned from reading about this is that Rotterdam is the destination of a large amount of China to Europe trade. Is there really not a suitably developed Mediterranean port closer to Suez? Is there work on one?

I work in IT in the US, and if someone offered me a job with a visa in Europe, with the potential for permanent stay. Even if it was 1/2 my current salary I would probably take it, depending on the country it was in.

Hot take: Its mostly just car infrastructure thats the cause of the problem. We spent way too much money for a large car-centric transport network that doesn't scale. Stop subsidizing and prioritizing cars as a primary form of transit

What does this have to do with EVs? I agree that getting rid of government mandated parking will decrease government-subsidized car storage (which is good across the board). Sure that will affect EVs, but it will also affect ICEs equally.

I'm willing to make the concession that any urban area with > 100,000 should probably not have single family zoning. Build your McMansion out int the boonies, just don't expect me to subsidize it with my tax dollars

It's not perfect, but for a lot of smaller projects it's fine. Also way easier to send someone a web link to something in a discussion to have them look into it, especially if it's in a different branch then they may have.
