Agreed, it's all about tradeoffs. On public CDNs- I mean public CDNs for common libraries (jQuery, Angular, Font Awesome) can improve page load time if a user already has the file. The more sites use the same public CDN, the more users

Great technical details in this post. When speeding up page loads, I usually struggle with: > You should have only one remote JS file and one remote CSS file. I get this in theory, but it's difficult in practice. For example, this p

Zillow used to tie into MLSs but their access was cut in most areas (as described in the article) due to a dispute. Used to be an awesome resource, now it's a ghost town. Would think it's only a matter of time before realtor.com s

That was my first reaction too, but I've come around since reading the article. What you're talking about is self-preservation, and of course animals display that all the time. This study shows that crows behaved differently when

We don't need a law. The public backlash from customers (see: this entire thread) is going to be more than enough to get the job done.

"Video-streaming devices" is very broad, and it shows how silly this decision is. Same argument can be applied to computers of any kind (tablets, laptops, desktops).

Making a good electric car is a HUGE challenge (see: the entire history of electric cars pre-Tesla). They need to keep their focus there. Once Tesla is delivering on the affordable mass market Model 3, then I think they'll turn up thei

They are following their roadmap, the Model 3 is next at $35k. Not cheap, but certainly affordable for many. Average new car price is $33,560 [0], so it's pretty amazing if they can hit that price with an electric vehicle. Also amazing
