I would love to hear the story about .coop. Have you written about it anywhere or would you be willing to chat privately about it? my details are in my profile.

Which is exactly what .info, .biz and other new TLDs did to make cash as well. Each TLD that launched was assured something like 200-300k registrations from brands/speculators. Now, ICANN can jump on the money-printing bandwagon.

Most parked pages make very little from search engine traffic. Very few were listed anyways. A couple domain parking solutions were trying to get around this but adding content hurts conversion rates on ads. The better names still get ty

That's very noble. But if that 50k domain name would beat the returns on all the other ways you are talking about deploying your capital, it only makes sense to buy it.

Let me begin with this, you hate me. And I think that's ok. I made a living off domains for a while and continue to make money from them. Moving on... I don't think that your solution is a real one. Getting 'discouraged and fucking righ

That's Mind+Machines, and yes, it's a mega-landgrab. That guy has been going on and on for years about how amazing this will be and how everyone wants it. I cite: http://www.circleid.com/posts/20090923_61_businesses_tell_ic... It's a jo

Here is what you need to know: What status is the domain in (expired, rgp, pendingdelete). Expired means the registrar has renewed it for free for X days (it lasts up to like 45 days I think, it depends on registrar's policy). RGP is expe

Considering you're asking them to build the whole product 8k seems fairly cheap. Run some of the numbers: Let's say it takes 1 month to build an MVP with 2 people at a small firm. Programmer + (Programmer OR Designer) = 2 people 40hrs/week

Let's do some math. He's saying he gets 90% of the bonus pool and expects many other people only get 100-200. So 5 others, 500-1000 for them, his take home would be 4500-9500 bonus. If there are 10 others, 1000-2000 for them, his take home
