I forget what the concept is called, but I will call it something like emigrant conservatism, where emigrants bring essentially a snapshot of their culture from when they emigrate, and that snapshot remains fixed - they don't feel Amer

I don't buy this...even if white people don't understand caste, they would still understand random team members not being invited to group events and perhaps try to find out why it happened that way.

I agree, I'm probably in the same boat with 5000+ karma but for the most part worthless comments and oftentimes getting yelled at by dang, but some filtering would be better than none at all. My guess is that companies don't want

I enjoyed reading about doing some things with the jvm which are not possible through the java language - can anyone recommend a page that goes further into that concept?

I think at the very least comments should be allowed on those posts, even if only by high karma accounts to lessen the number of trolls.

I actually built something exactly like this, using the google calendar API and FUSE. It wasn't very difficult at all, I think it took half a day. I'll try to find the code, it's been about a year since I used it since it was

2mg is considered a potentially lethal dose[0] of fentanyl. The new law decriminalizes up to 2.5g of it, or enough fentanyl to potentially kill 1200 people. I wouldn't consider that "small amounts". [0] https://www

Seems more efficient to just have all cars be hybrids, with a small battery that can cover the bulk of daily driving, and then use the generator for longer trips. I'd imagine 90+% of cars are driven < 40 miles per day on most days.

If a process isn't using any resources, is it really running at all? (Of course it doesn't really use no resources - it consumes a finite PID among other things)

Yeah...if that is the case, wouldn't nvidia graphic driver's kernel-shim-to-closed-source-binary not be legit, since the shim defines an API in the kernel and then the closed source blob uses that GPL'd API?
