What kind of privacy grantees does Whist make? Having more of the browser in the could could open up new opportunities for snooping either to sell data, or by state actors. Do you have a warrant canary?

A big issue on reddit is 'powermods' and how if your sub gets popular enough the admins will install their own mods. Everything ends up feeling incredibly similar.

I just cancelled my Netflix account after being a subscriber since 2007. When Netflix started their streaming offering there was more content I wanted to watch than I could conceivably watch. Today there might be 4 hours of content released

Theft not only takes resources away from the person stolen from, but increases costs across society as security has to be implemented. It is a negative externality. I don’t understand the other side as presented.

I would argue the correct behavior is not sending it at all and having an error if the other side requests it. Why should my OS offer any information even a bucket of 20% of users?

We're at the point where both MacOS and Windows have an advertising ID. It can be anonymized, but I can't just turn it off.
