I have access to the Cyber version. It’s great at cybersecurity work but only marginally better than its predecessor with the right jailbreaking. I imagine Mythos is going to be the same story from what I’ve seen so far.

I find that at least for the goofy “look up anyone and brace yourself” data hoovering companies having a super common name means my info gets muddled in with a ton of other people’s. Everyone legally change their name to the current most co

Does this mean you’re only using the models in the web app? I mean that might be why you haven’t been able to do this?

I will never ever understand how people are amazed by this. Have they just not tried it and then just assume that because Anthropic says this is the first it must be true? This was one of the first things I tried and it works great.

I think the point is “out of state”. But also, the price of grid upgrades are more and more often being passed directly to customers and you don’t really get a choice of whether or not you’re a customer.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I had been in this space for a little bit before it really became popular. I haven’t seen incredible gains in model competency. What I have seen though is people figuring out what works and what doesn’t

I agree with most of what you wrote except for this: >Frequent LLM users already know not to do that. And I think that’s the biggest problem. Amidst the current push to utilize LLMs across orgs and groups there are a large (if even say m

Germane or not the knee-jerk reactions related to LLMs are getting ridiculous and it seems like it’s the same people throwing down at a moments notice and then chalking it up to a misunderstanding. So like I said, just chill out.

I don’t think that’s what the OP is saying at all, just that using LLMs needs to be a cooperative research process. Also I see you jumping around a lot to the defense of LLMs when I don’t think anyone is really attacking them. Maybe cool it

Right? Like can we do this everywhere? It can even be a two way thing if that makes it easier for BOTH parties to understand each other. My current company is global and while everyone can speak English well sometimes accents make it almost

I guess my current company’s processes may be easier to deal with than others. That or my position affords me some extra catering to. The system is currently using a simple app to submit expenses and any issues gets a simple human chat req

I’m not saying your implementation is bad or anything but my visceral reaction to this was “I’m glad I’m not on the other side of that”

OP didn’t blame the staff. His focus is on the company. Invoking individual workers well-being to defend a billion dollar company is also very strange.

Tangential to the subject matter but has anyone else noticed that night time tends to have more people arguing that LLMs are intelligent and the daytime tends to have more arguing that they aren’t?

Trying to shut down conversations if you’re rude to it is what I would expect an algorithm owned by a company to do. Your second example is by definition not unprompted. That’s like setting an egg timer for 5 minutes and then being amazed i

Incredibly confusing that people who are otherwise of sound mind seem to fall for this. Especially confusing when it’s someone who knows how algorithms work. Barring connectivity issues when’s the last time you messaged an LLM and it just d

What you’re missing is a “self” to have the “experience”. LLMs do not have a self. This is like arguing that the algorithm responsible for converting ripped YouTube music videos to MP3s has a consciousness.

I don’t know when this ridiculous melodramatic style of writing started to pervade all of tech but it needs to go away. It’s resurrecting the pain of around 2016 when everyone presented like they were giving their own TED Talk.

I work for a fortune 50 that is heavily tech based. If you can’t interview without immediately reaching for an LLM you are considered unfit to work here.
