Amazing idea. Not sure how well this can work without a game client though. I'd love a hybrid where you play a video game of sorts , but a DM is actually running it .

You can also just not use social media. No one forces you to use Facebook. I respect the right of Facebook to not want to be over ran with hate speech. It's a nominal task to spin up a fresh server everytime you get banned. The only ef

Stadia isn't a great option for anyone. You just need to dual boot unless you want random issues popping up every other day. With Steam OS dead I'm not sure who this is even for. I can't imagine more than a significant of use

Consider Node JS is a top server side language, and arm for data centers is coming ( to the extent it's not already here), this makes sense. Technically someone can just make a better VM engine for JavaScript to execute inside of, but

Ohh I get your point. What I'm saying is if your not ok with the biggest company on Earth using your code you need to release it GPL. Dual licencing is also a strategy, GPL is free and commercial usage can be $5,000 a year or whatever.

What about the new Amazon Intern who finds an awesome open source project. She now gets fired because open source means open only for some. The main value add is AWS is hosting it. Amazon isn't being an angel, they could of easily give

Forgive my ignorance, what's the advantage here. It's perfectly fine if this is effectively ' we did it to prove we could ' thing. I've heard of React OS before and it's been in development for such a long time

Wouldn't surprise me if informally once a company pays to become an " Engaged Employer" , they get rid of bad reviews. The amount of fake reviews here reminds me a bit of Catfishing ( check the FTC lawsuit against the Match G

I played with the Godot editor for a few hours. It's simply nowhere near as polished as Unity or Unreal. If you want to make something in Unity, you can pay a few hundred dollars for some assets, snap them together like Legos , add yo

Godot isn't finished yet. Unless you plan on developing an open source game or need absolute total control over your project I wouldn't use Godot. The greatest advantage of Unity is anyone can develop something for it very fast. T
