I'd argue that discord brand simply doesn't lend itself well to business. maybe they'll spin off a business oriented division with a different name,

Awesome. I'll still keep a Mac mini since I like Logic, but this is very very good for say a Unity or Flutter developer who needs to deploy apps to iOS

In that case I'll go ahead and email the mods to ask. Thanks for the response, I hope to target PC and Mac early next year

Looks like forcing users to sign up for an account is frowned upon. This is something Steam definitely does, so I'll release a version on Itch.io which doesn't require a sign up.

While I'm a Unity developer , I'm very very happy to see a solid open source option. Kinda anti trust ish for Epic to fund Godot though. Unity competes with both Unreal ( I'll argue with HDRP Unity can generally match Unreal

If you really need to , install Arch Linux and set it up yourself. In my younger days I had the patience to install Ubuntu over and over again. In my 30s I simply no longer have the heart for it. My M1 mac just works out the box and I can s

While I can agree, I don't think it really matters to end users. I'm waiting on Unity to run natively on the M1. If it can magically beat my desktop PC ( working on an HDPR project now), I'm sold.

It's definitely a good thing to remember. Not to be sociopathic, but try to be the hero of your own story as well. Focusing on the things you do right and not remunerating on your mistakes it's a key part of mental wellness.

What type of living hell doesn't have version control? Git is the first thing I set up when I start a new side project, every job aside from one which let me set it up, have used version control. I will say Plastic SCM sucks and no on

I wasted roughly a month trying to get machine learning working for a game. Unless you seriously need it, and have a massive budget to match, basic boolean logic will probably get you where you want to be faster. I wouldn't advise any

Using Flutter web right now for a side project. It's already miles better than React. Dart itself is absolutely a pleasure to work with. No Babel ! Source for Sony using Flutter https://devclass.com/2020/10/29
