I find it maddening that AI Studio doesn't have a way to save the system prompt as a default.

With the caveat that the standby is likely only going to be required during winter in case of prolonged dark and windless weather. Everything else will be covered by renewables + battery.

Thanks for your reply. Well reasoned. I am with you that the current dichotomy of training vs. inference seems unsustainable in the long run. We need ways for LLMs to learn from the interactions they are having, we might need introspection

Hey Omar, is there any chance that Gemma 3 might get a speech (ASR/AST/TTS) release?

Somebody in this thread mentioned 20.x tok/s on ollama. What are you seeing in vLLM?

I didn't realize that the context would require such so much memory. Is this KV caches? It would seem like a big advantage if this memory requirement could be reduced.

But what kind of magic sauce are experts really based on in your opinion? Something which hasn't been written down in the thousands of books on any technical subject? In my opinion it is ridiculous to still say that there is anything f

For me this is exactely one of the biggest developments as LLMs became available: They 'get it' much more than the previous tech (search engines) and fill in the blanks much more than previously thought possible. Sure if you leave

Your arguments are a bit all over the place for me to follow. I don't think it is kicking down the can if you don't have enough information to not get to much into panic mode. If this turns out to be an issue we can act. At the mo

The worst case scenario will be extended work life until maybe up to 75 to balance retiree vs working age population. Extremely painful likely means working 7-10 more years. Today's retirement at 65-67 will be considered an aberration.

Some problems need tackling at the right time. We don't need to get too crazy about declining populations when we are facing more urgent issues. Maybe the world in 2050 will be so different that the issue has resolved itself. Always re

In which country can Banks reposess if market value falls? In Germany that risk is 100% on the bank. No reprocessing without you failing to pay anyway.

I think the test which the OP performed (to pick a random street view and let it pinpoint it) would indicate that it has ingested some kind of information in this regard in a structured manner.

The anthropomorphisation certainly is weird. But the technical aspect seems even weirder. Did OpenAI really build dedicated tools to have their models train on Google Street View? Or do they have generic technology for browsing complex site

The key is Gemini being free through AI Studio. This makes their technical improvement more impressive when OpenAI sells their best models at ridiculous prices. If Google engages in price dumping as a monopolist remains to be seen but it fe

Certainly, so we have to critically look at the terms and check which have been used by the Nazis to promote their ideology. It is a call to make in each case.

Wunderkind predates the Nazis so it doesn't have that much baggage. Endgegner originates from Endlösung and while it indeed often is used without thought, the question if it should be used lightly.

Many of these terms originate during the Nazi regime and thus aren't used lightly in Germany anymore. Other example includes: Endgegner (final boss) or Endlösung (final solution) I would suggest to avoid such terms.

Cool to hear that you got something out of it, but for most users 4.5 might have just felt less capable on their solution-oriented questions. I guess this why they are deprecating it. It is just such a big failure of OpenAI not to include s
