They could be using http streaming, like the feature introduced in rails 3.1 : http://weblog.rubyonrails.org/2011/4/18/why-http-streaming/ That actually makes <head> the preferred place for loading scripts. Also, I find it a bit e

Those numbers are totally wrong. First, "pigeon"s don't talk about 80% but 60%. And they're wrong about that too. Here is an economical review from the law (translated from french) : http://goo.gl/70xwI The tax is not 60%, but 40%, worst

> FB isn't in the business of hosting videos so why should a p2p social network be? Remember that the whole point of using P2P social network was to avoid centralized service and keep control of one data.

There is a very good reason peer to peer social networks can't work nowadays (not even considering diaspora quality). It's not about internet overlords. It's not about ad industry pressure. It's not about governments pressure. It's about in

I really like the concept developed in one of the comments (I can reuse it here, right ?) of evolutionary vs revolutionary. Further than the "previous art" rule, that should be a criteria in accepting new patents : is it revolutionary ? Yes

disclaimer : I don't use scaffolding either Well, scaffolds are not suppose to totally avoid coding. They try to provide what you may write again and again, but you're supposed to take that as a basis, not a final product.

This is not a classic security problem causing a "woops" on border line case. This is a failure to implement 101 basic feature. I know it's hard for people behind this company and they probably invested a lot of time and love to build this

Totally agree. Plus, I'm not sure users are asking for it that much. It's been years since I have magnatune tab in amarok, I never used it. Paid services, gtfo my applications. I know where you are if I need you.

Yep, I'm aware of the prior art rule, except : a) it's about things that should have been actually used, where a patent is about concepts b) scope of the idea is not clearly defined and so could be argued with, when a real patent definition

That's a valid point. I still don't understand why there is no (afaik) "general public patent" mechanism of some kind : a procedure to make someone claim a patent on behalf of general public. This would certainly stops patent trolls, and av

Thanks. After reading the post, I turned my prompt into that : https://gist.github.com/648a75ec821acff10749 which looks like that : http://i.imgur.com/Qc86I.png I like having an uri directly pastable to scp. Also, as mentioned in other

I've build a few LFS systems, knowing for sure I won't use it as a primary system. Nevermind : it's great for educational purpose, and I'm surely more confident in my sysadmin skills since I've did it.

Or to report the tax payment to the day some corrective law makes the item possible to sell, should it happens. Of course, there can be an immediate arrangement if they just give away the item to a museum.

I like having only my image on screen. With multi-window mode, you can press the tab key to make tools windows appear/disappear. When you're used to change tools via keyboard shortcut (and thus, don't need tools window most of the time), it

Same here, wasn't sure seeing no reference to github.com in mails' header, even if the link pointed directly on their domain. i guess that's the precise moment when I should feel too much paranoid.
