I think you're more or less spot on, but very far with the last one on UK. The economy is more resilient than you think, especially the City. I have a feeling the war ironically helped. It prevented the finance from moving out to the c

Three is quite a bad network in general. I can barely get any signal in my estate. Ironically, when walking around city centre, I have full bars but rarely ever an actual Internet connection. Their links seem to be universally overloaded.

Spotifyd is good to have considering Spotify deprecated and cut off the C library, thus breaking for example mopidy. Unfortunately the MPRIS interface works weird. For example it didn't let me change the volume. On top of that spotifyd

I have a few ESP boards. I still try to go for everything-Zigbee in my smart home setup. It's much less chatty, uses much less power and works with a standard protocol (no need for flashing TasmOTA etc). So much easier to integrate tha

Funny, I have the completely opposite wish. I'd really love to see movie adaptations for "Snow Crash" and "Cryptonomicon" in my lifetime.

Last time I lived in Berlin (until early 2020) my Hausarzt still used Telegram in her practice. Mostly to communicate between the front desk and the examination rooms. I wonder how kosher it was.

It begins as a very interesting book (especially the forest management example) but boy is it slow. The author tends to repeat his point ad nauseam.

Police here are known for not pursing such crimes. I reported an attempted property theft to my local police, having caught the perps on my security camera. The police weren't even interested in the video.

Having lived in Germany, this brings back a few bad memories. So many processes feel overly complicated, frequently requiring lawyers or other highly-paid specialists. Add stacks of papers on top of that, faxes, certified translations etc.
