They're a static site web host. You deploy using git, and they handle pulling your site from git and deploying it to a CDN. If you're using a static site engine like Hugo or Jekyll, they'll build the site for you as well. I t

Serious answer: I would allow connections to current social networks. Maybe even bill it as an aggregator of sorts, so you can pull in (just for display purposes) as much data from linked social networks as possible. Give people a real reas

IIRC, "public domain" means different things in different countries, and can make it hard to enforce as a software license. See https://opensource.org/faq#public-domain A BSD-style license is probably the closest

You're absolutely right! And I hadn't thought about MS Office for Mac in that way before; thanks! My comment was more geared towards OP's "well, now they're going to cancel the Android version" when Apple liter

I know there's a huge swath of "promotional consideration" names at the end of a lot of shows now, so that might be where they dump a bunch of that stuff?

This is key, I think. I recall Apple coming to developers' defense when they were targeted for using standard APIs, and if Google wants Android to be a useful platform it will need to do the same here.

I would imagine it’s analogous to blocking phone numbers on the White House switchboard: freedom of speech in this context means that the President cannot artificially limit who speaks to him through publicly-available means.

iCloud Keychain is definitely well-integrated, but I've run into a few edge cases where it doesn't behave the way I need it to. In these cases, 1Password is better since it actually lets me dig in and edit some of the low-level de

In the case of Netflix, it is specifically to save on licensing fees. Gotham is expensive, yo. Apple's always had their own typeface, though I don't remember them using one as heavily as San Francisco. But it feels very in-charact

That's kinda the point of the lawsuit: they can't. Redbox is buying Disney movies at retail. The only way for Disney to stop Redbox from doing what they're doing is to stop selling physical copies of movies.

From what I remember of working with a non-profit, there are limits to "gift-in-kind" donations. Apple sells the license at $99, but they can probably only claim $50 or so since that's what the actual "cost" of an i
