FB is a result of slowly AB-tested mutated app. By the way, FB is dead. The people I care about I want to keep away from FB. Oh, we have IG, which is an absolute mess right now. But really, the answer is pretty simple, just compare what peo

The game the manufactures are playing is to get extra good conditions for them by pressing the government that they would produce abroad. Local manufacturing in any reasonable volume is not coming back. Highly automated - yes, maybe, if the

Regulating mining would be a responsible economic policy. Like not printing money. Or regulating speculative markets (derivatives). But we currently doing our best to be least responsible :)

We do not know what kind of generation they use. Probably the cheapest one. We do not know who operates them (probably people who have a lot of money). And they do not produce their own panels, driving cost up for other people on the free m

I am totally for off-grid generation. As long as people buy their panels without any tax reliefs and incentives. Also, free market is good, if generation is 100% carbon offset which is not now. And yea, you are free to make any economical d

yea, it is nice way to break local laws, sure. It is easy to track transactions on the block chain though - everyone sees them. I would say it is least anonymous way of doing transactions. Everyone knows about the transaction forever. Every

As long as something legal and makes profit - people would do it. Energy generation does not offset all the climate damage it makes. Efficient: (of a system or machine) achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense. B

So call it easy to deploy, not efficient use. Or "ease of utilisation of excess energy generation". The point is that bitcoin would use as much energy as possible as long as it is profitable regardless of fact it is over-produced

Energy could be taxed higher, but it would make other users (like regular people) of energy unhappy. So far energy is "cheap", but it does not cover the total eco damage it makes.

"Efficient" use is using 2% of all energy just to do 7 transactions a second and allow people to speculate?

"Only" 2 percent. Bitcoin mining should be illegal. And usage probably too, because otherwise miners would just move to country without good eco regulations. And eco damage would be just spread across all population.

I still remember google partnering up with XMPP. Could be lead and consume strategy (or lead, make confusing and slow down development). Though tensorflow was made by google and it is pretty good library.

I think in this case some antivirus companies from EU could do notarisation. Of course, companies that have a good track record and would actually do the proper job. No need to depend on Apple to do it. We do not have a single SSL CA, for e

It is in plans though. I think EU should make alternative notarisation entities though, antivirus companies could do it. If we care about "privacy and security" here.

Not gonna happen. If other companies say "we are firing people", other companies would do the same (unless you are apple). We've seen it before with hiring. Hire not because we need, but because everyone is hiring.

They should reduce the probability for entries, that are submitted multiple times. So, if you apply to several companies, you still have the same chance as if you apply to one company. Or just make companies to pay to win a slot ;)
