As someone who moved to LA in the early 70s, and left LA in the late 80s, and spent some time to visit Palm Springs, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, I can say with full confidence that anyone with a lick of sense knew there was not enough water to

I worked at a place that would often take me off whatever I was working on and put me on something entirely different. In my case some of my fellow employees got riled about that. They thought I was getting some sort of special treatment an

I had a student ask me if he could work with me for free so I gave him a few tasks to do. He did great work on them. When he graduated he asked me for a letter of recommendation and I gladly wrote one for him. He used it to apply for a job

Three wheeled cars are an inherently bad design. They tip over too easily. The width between the front wheels looks like it's about as wide as what's legal, and that would help, but I don't think they've solved that prob

I peeked at their website and didn't find if there is a way to send an email from a web app. Do they have an API that makes that easy? (or at least doable?)

I have friends who spent a huge amount of money and time in "Arcades" playing pinball and then video games in the `70s-`80s. And others who spent even more on blow. I never got into gaming or blow myself. I was much more intrigued

I became a single parent when my daughter turned 1 year old. When she got old enough we'd go fishing, bicycling, swimming, and hiking a lot. We'd also go to a used book store twice a month (on pay day) so she could pick out a few
