I wonder how this compares to Aurora Serverless Data API. This is an HTTP API that you POST a query to and get results data back. The result format is a bit clunky but there's all the column information you'd expect. I found this

Yes we are using Lambda under the hood. Every customer's custom source or destination is its own Lambda function. This gives us a ton of fine-grained isolation, scalability and visibility out of the box. We ask customers to implement a

We built the initial version on AWS Lambda. Out of the box it gives us a lot of isolation, scaling and visibility into each piece of customer code. Most importantly using Lambda let us focus almost entirely on the user / developer expe

I really appreciate projects like this. It’s helpful for casual observers to understand all the pieces of the stack. You can get an immediate feel if the approach is right for you and your team. And it’s helpful for engineers to have exampl

Static content served from S3 / CloudFront / ACM / Route 53. Lambda functions for APIs. I favor Vue for frontend and Go for backend but React and Node work just the same. https://github.com/nzoschke/gofaa

It’s a valid fear. Dynamo can get really expensive really fast with on demand or auto scaling. I have a dynamo addon for Heroku apps and need to keep cost under control. I use AWS Budgets and put a fixed price monthly budget on every table.

OP here. We considered this, but decided against it for a couple reasons. First and foremost our customers universally favor REST APIs. GraphQL and gRPC are better tech wise but REST is more familiar. Next gRPC uses pure HTTP/2 which d

You can set up a FaaS app just as fast as Heroku. I find it even more efficient, since Go, AWS SAM and Lambda offers dev/build/prod simplicity that Heroku never figured out. I open sourced and documented the stack that I use inste

This is my favorite feature of Go in Lambda. You cross compile a Linux binary, throw it in S3, and Lambda runs it on demand. It feels so good to skip over all the Docker tools, config and services to build a Go app. I wrote up more details
