Good point. It is probably the right thing to do technically, since the source view can't rely on parsing the markup. I think I'd prefer such non-printable characters to be simply escaped though.

Looks like the bug is in Chrome's View Source - the markup itself is fine.

I'm not sure if this reference is appropriate at all. Imagine how the article would read if the quote was from a fictional female or gay character on the topic of what type of male they were attracted to. Just one data point, but it would m

Those were my initial thoughts as well, but my next thought was that it could very well be that the general public simply does not care about issues like open information. They are happy as long as they get their games or Facebook access, a

What can't believe are the comments on that page. Are people really that eager to praise their "overlords" in the name of "better gaming"? But can there really be that many trolls? The scary part is that these are most likely real people, w

There even exists a port of UML for Windows: http://umlwin32.sourceforge.net/ And that project (indirectly) led to coLinux ( http://www.colinux.org/ ), which runs on Windows at the kernel level. Linus himself called coLinux a dirty hack!

Commercial - by cost/board I mean the cost to assemble a PCB. Placing each component has a cost, even when done automatically, especially since that (probably unique) cap is another type of component in the set-up stage. But I'm just a stud

The only issue with the 555 in volume is the cost of the external parts (caps and resistors) to make it work. Some micros with built-in oscillators will actually result in a lower total part count, making the board cheaper.

There are touchscreen technologies that claim to work in these kinds of environments. Namely, infrared and surface acoustic wave. But I don't know how well they actually hold up in the real world.
