Meanwhile Amazon still sends me an email and a text message every time I log in to a new device on an account with TOTP 2FA enabled. At least those don't require any action from me, but it's still annoying.

There are multiple better solutions to that: - Use a 2FA app with sync like Authy (even Google Authenticator has basic backup/export support nowadays, but it's still far too easy to lose your codes with it) - Use a password manage

Hmm, I haven't had issues with Tutanota on Apple and Discord, though I don't use it for my main accounts, only alternate ones.

I had an experience with BritBox a few years ago where I signed up for a trial with a Revolut card on an account that had zero or very little balance. (I only did this once, so I wasn't abusing multiple trials.) When the trial expired,

Depends on what you mean by "recently". Python 2 has been EOL for over two years now. The lowest version yt-dlp supports, Python 3.6, was released five years ago, and I would say it's a pretty usable version. The only reason

With yt-dlp, you can use something like `-P /home/username/Downloads`, and you can even put that in your config so you don't need to manually specify it every time.

yt-dlp currently has no plans to drop support for Python 3.6, which became EOL a month ago. And Python 3.8 will be supported until October 2024. On Linux (at least a regular x86/x86_64 machine, not sure about other architectures), you

It's possible with yt-dlp: --downloader ffmpeg --downloader-args "ffmpeg_i:-ss start_time -to end_time" Though the ffmpeg downloader is quite slow and has no parallelization.

This is true. I tried forwarding email going to my domain to Gmail, but it keeps getting flagged as spam despite setting up SPF, DKIM and DMARC. I ended up just setting up a filter to never send email addressed to @mydomain.com as spam and

In Python, you can just specify `foo=bar` when invoking the function, or even better, make `foo` a keyword-only argument.

Yeah, I don't know if Gmail does, but I know Outlook.com accepts some emails with a 200 OK status code and then routes them to /dev/null.

How do you expect that to work? Apple doesn't allow third-party SMS apps, and as far as I understand RCS is also pretty closely tied in with carriers so it probably wouldn't work without official support from Apple either.

You can extract them from an iTunes backup using iMazing or Reincubate Backup Extractor, though both are paid.

Perhaps interestingly, in some languages like German and Hungarian, (o)estrogen is written with just an ö and no e (Östrogen, ösztrögén).

Well, what they did to Nvidia Tegra devices is either downgrade them to L3, or revoke them and issue a new L1 key for them. OTA updates patched something , but a hardware flaw can't be patched fully with a software update. However, mo

The L1 device key they posted was already revoked earlier today. The tools themselves might continue to work for a while longer with an appropriate non-revoked key depending on how much services want to change up their APIs.
