One thing I always wondered, speaking of etiquette was how security was handled. You get up to go bathroom, get coffee, even leave for lunch. Do you have to secure valuables? Do each desk have a locker?

I worry sometimes that our perception of time changes as we near death, such that the actual dying moments could feel like year and years… sort of like the Picard flute story line from TNG

When will they make the notes app better and allow you to attach items, reminders to create categories, and search in drive. It doesn’t have to be fully feature but hobbled is a pain, sometimes I have to be on a browser.

On a related note, we have a Google dot, and asking it to play a podcast, it ALWAYS resumes from the last episode I listened to in that podcast, often weeks old. I can’t get it to simply play the latest episode of random podcast

Aren’t the HDPE Nalgene the original one carried in the 90s, then polycarbonate came out, whoops BPE then transition to Lexan? I loved the HDPE and appreciated it was likely the most inert (aren’t milk jugs HDPE?), but my family says it imp

My teen shares her location with all her friends, so I feel it’s fine for parents. Sure makes pickup from games easier, it’s a River Run school not River Bend school, etc!

Yeah nightmare scenario: everyone owns a robotic car, no one wants to pay for traffic. Car drives to work, then you send it home rather than pay for parking, and then summon car to pickup from work. So basically dual direction rush hour tha

I had a plumber show up with a metal slide and CARBON paper. The vintage swipe. Many of my cards no longer have embossed numbers, so that has to be dicey. They take checks too of course

In a dry climate like Egypt you actually more often use evaporative coolers or “swamp coolers”. They generate cool air with way less energy than compressor driven AC. They humidify rather than dehumidify but not enough for discomfort. You u

Take money off the table, that’s what all the startup gurus call it, but whose money is kinda the question. Have pension funds stopped chasing VC funds etc?

I saw this and thought it was a startup in homage to a xenomorph facehugger. Ironic, since we are worried about AI destroying humanity.
