I was a huge proponent of urban planning and smart growth, loved trains. But I feel the pandemic has upended any momentum for public transit for a generation. Less frequent commmutes make long drives more tolerable and parking more affordab

I suspect that is more a function of Googles deep pockets. The other players are putting major eggs in self driving, for Google it’s a hobby.

Warm show? I admittedly haven’t watched many episodes, but they all seem somewhat casually cruel to one another, and not in a loving way you may tease a friend. I always felt the stereotypes were truly making fun of geek/nerds, and so

I think it’s mostly true for modern usage. Powering off a laptop doesn’t fully disconnect power, because the power button is not a true switch but just signals to some power management hardware which is ALWAYS on as long as there is battery

There is no export function. That’s a huge drawback. And it doesn’t easily import photos at least not recent ones, I assumed it would have today’s photos readily available.

I think that logic is usually applied to deflation and why it is so insidious (wait to spend and tomorrow will be even cheaper, grinding economy to a halt). The inverse for inflation seems possible, but somewhat flawed because you will need

Yeah I got an $80 Chromebook because my kids are breaking one semi annually. Don’t need it now, but there will be a night when they need on and theirs is DOA. Expiring 2029 will get them to college, so buying now seemed worthwhile.

I honestly thought that Tesla made a version of their sedan which had 4 motors -- one for each wheel. When I looked into it, all I can find is that the CyberTruck should have 4 motors. Wasn't there a quad and duel version of the seda
