Very cool. Looks extremely easy to use which is the difference between people using tools or just reading about them :) As an aside, I created some tooling for identifying memory leaks in Python apps. Once I started sending the results to S

I'm founder of a startup in this area. Our product is NOT just the usual automated runbook approach. If anyone has explored more sophisticated solutions than wiki pages, I would love to talk and learn from your experience

Yeah, I'm familiar with them. Once they're widespread this will be a whole different story. (Here too, if you control the fleet of servers then this is easy. If you're deploying software as a vendor you're stuck with old

This works great if you control the servers or have a uniform fleet. I used to work at a security vendor which sold ebpf based software that ran as a daemonset on customer kubernetes clusters. Compiling ebpf bytecode on the customer's

Can you elaborate on what type of devtool you built? I'm founder of a startup that develops DevOps tooling and we're debating how early to build out the ui. (We have the basics down with Vue like I mentioned.)

I tried out Lowdefy recently and it was too much yaml so in the end I just wrote my app with Vue and Buetfy. If you had a visual editor that was good I would have used and paid for that.

Thank you. If you find a better way which works on a headless Linux container let me know. I would be interested in the older versions of your automation even if the output is worse quality so long as the quality is acceptable.

I love the concept of Readme.io but I chose Sphinx over Readme.io for my startup despite starting out with Readme and really wanting it to work. A few issues: 1. Linking other pages is buggy. Sometimes Readme autocompletes the page name and

Is anyone familiar with a good way to programatically create a diff like this as an image? I wrote a small script that tracks changes to your kubernetes cluster and sends a diff of the yaml to Slack. It works but I want to prettify the diff

An interesting and non-obvious usecase: debugging python code. Standard debuggers use ptrace to implement breakpoints by replacing instructions in debugged process with the assembly code INT3 (or equivalents). This makes the cpu trap when i

Cool stuff. A few months ago I looked into building a CITRIX alternative based on the idea that you would run application frontends in a local secure docker container while running the backend in the cloud. E.g. you could run VSCode locally

I should have been more clear. It's not that developers are unfamiliar with the string/array equivalence in C, but rather it's less common to encode constant strings that way and I've rarely seen it done. I can find data

Sure. The short version is that this is for cases when you write frontend and backend code in different languages and they need to share constants. E.g. you might have an API in your backend called ExportData() which takes a parameter calle

Hmm, I'm torn on this. Using `const char* const` can solve the first issue. Regarding the memory, `const char X[]` is obviously better but it is a little less familiar to most developers. I'm not sure if it is worth saving the byt
