I'd point out the extreme irony of this comment, but I suspect it'll fall on deaf ears.

A lot of the credit? Estonia is 99% of Skype. There's a reason their tech ecosystem (which is more impressive than Sweden's) is called the "Skype Mafia"

I can't imagine living in a place where everyone is constantly moralizing about things like "media diversity". How exhausting.

Humans (technologists) in particular are awful at extrapolating. Transformers being able to combine rudimentary, defined "concepts" and scaling that into human intelligence makes about as much sense as extrapolating a XOR gate or

No, "most humans" aren't going to moralize and want to give back to their country in the form of taxes as a thank you when they strike gold. Being forced to give a large portion of my family's hard earned wealth to a tir

It's probably pointless to discuss this with someone who insists on generalizing anyone above a certain net worth as being selfish, but - As it turns out, it's no longer the 80s, and there are increasingly multiple other countries

You have next to no understanding of the opposite side of the political spectrum if you think Parler shut down because of people running away from their content. Who created that content in the first place?

That doesn't mean it was a good thing. Democracy isn't the only "right" way to maximize outcomes for a society, as much as western moralism might want it to be.

They had better tech and horses. Certainly not "outnumbering" them. That + their immune systems is why they won.

Well no. "AI" is as much artificial as a variable assignment of x=5 is. It's a construct. AI isn't a "technology" today. It's literally just linear algebra.

You're right. If you're lucky enough to be born in the US, you're going to have a better life than 90% of people in the world and 90% of people who have ever existed.

Yeah. I grew up in a third world country and moved to North America pretty late. I never realized how sheltered and weak Americans were till I joined a well known YC company.

Not individual personas, but the media organizations themselves. These aren't scrappy publications living in damp, ill-lit rooms exposing the evil villains of Gotham, these are multi billion dollar corporations with political ambitions
