Not arguing just saying that's how it is now. Hawaii is a highly limited resource. Simple as that. So you have a choice: - Develop it more to keep prices a bit down. In exchange you are actively sacrificing what makes it desirable in t

It’s telling you seem to have no consideration for what locals want, but instead only consider the pov of the outsider who feels they have some right to live there for cheap. By the way, the more you develop it, the less tropical it is.

That system already exists in Hawaii actually. There’s lots of land you can’t own as a non-native.

Hawaii doesn’t want lots of development, don’t try and force it on them. What America should do at large is block all non resident investment in non commercial real estate, period. Would do a hell of a lot more for housing than all the nons

I'm a frontend dev who is familiar with Storybook and I didn't realize this wasn't about publishing an actual book, even after clicking around to a couple pages, until I came back here. So yea it's pretty valid feedback.

A time ago I had a project where we had an intense tree-like data structure where at any given level there may be a finite async-stream. Basically recursively needed to await streams until they finished. I was using for RxDB based on RxJS,

I don’t agree at all, I don’t see any extra DOM due to React across many apps nor any fundamental reason why it’d cause it.

Well you get explicit dependencies which have ups and downs, but closures do become an issue. That said, I find hooks less magical and less prone to cycles, especially as you're staying with a top down data flow generally.

Signals have their own shortcomings as well. Once you leave the "re-run the render function on state change" you suddenly are dealing with implicit dependencies, stale closures, cyclical updating, and all sorts of weirdness in deb

I think your idea of speeding up the DOM is the right one, but the view transitions API has almost nothing to do with it. That’s more for whole page changes, and doesn’t solve the main issues which is that the DOM simply does way too much a

I’ve got a landing page I’ve been working on that pushes the limits on things by overlapping all sorts of effects: WebGL, mix-blend-mode, clip-path, SVGs, overlapping animations on custom fonts, etc. Safari and Chrome run it surprisingly we

Traefik is really simple to set up and I’d bet setting up s3 is 100x easier than kubernetes no? Unless I’m missing something. Fwiw I found swarm lovely and just so much easier to work with than anything else solving the same problems.
