I live in Australia, our healthcare is universally free and of very high quality. I don't have a problem walking into any clinic in my area and getting free, prompt medical service. Just because yours sucks doesn't mean it's

Primecoin? It's not solving a "problem" as it claims, there's nothing that can be solved with chains of primes. They're interesting but that's about the end of it. The vastly smaller network means it's a l

Mining with a CPU is long since irrelevant, even GPUs are completely useless as far as mining is concerned. The network uses ASIC hardware now, basically chips designed only to mine Bitcoin quickly and efficiently. Attempting to mine on a C

The thing is just that it's ridiculously hard to make a Bitcoin client that works, is secure, and doesn't introduce completely nonsense quirks. Armory has been around since 2011 and still has major issues parsing the blockchain an

I'm quite fond of Bitcoin, but to say it's usable is a bit much. I feel a lot more comfortable in a world where I am insured verses sorting money in paper wallets and exchanging through websites with crazy security theatre and not

Given that most people's computers are a cesspit of malware, I hardly think that Bitcoin is going to save the masses from theft. In fact, it makes it worse because there's no recourse if your wallet gets sent to an address you

That's my thinking. Bitcoin is an outlier because "coin" is usually indivisible, where as "bitcoin" certainly is. You're never likely to see a price of more than one anyway, making the plural almost completely

Wish people would stop using the term "bitcoins" as if they're singular metal entities, it seems to be where the perception that they are "too expensive" comes from. Bitcoin. Divisible to 8 decimal places.

Less secure circuit construction makes it weaker for anonymity protection, but drastically faster. As the website states, don't rely on this for anything but downloading your favourite linux distros behind a censored connection.
