Windows really is a clusterf*k right now. In addition to the mess of frameworks that you talk about, Windows 11 has been a mess. From the random Bing-related crap getting increasingly prevalent and pervasive around the OS to the TPM fiasco

Probably because they're a large target and because it's more financially worthwhile. I imagine their bug bounty program pays out more, plus I know they've awarded $50,000 per research grant in the past.

I haven't tried it out in awhile, but I wonder if LXQt might be worth looking at for something more configurable than GNOME, yet more simple than KDE. Of course, there's also always XFCE, MATE, and Cinnamon. I just don't see

I think the parent comment's choice of "minimal work" was key. In my experience, KDE requires quite a bit of work to set up because it encourages you to adapt the system for your workflow. GNOME, on the other hand, encourages

Interesting. I don't have a chance to mess with the app, but I wonder if it works because it's syncing individual kdbx files that the user gives access to one at a time rather than a whole directory (including subdirectories). Log

GCP is the bitter butter and Firebase is the better butter. Mixing GCP with Firebase is making Firebase worse. At least, that's how I understood the nursery rhyme in the context of the parent comment.

Thanks for the reminder to check out asciidoctor-pdf! I forgot about it because I was using macOS's default, out-of-date Ruby version for the longest time and the gem required a newer version. I've since figured out how to install

One thing to note is that this requires manually pulling and pushing in Working Copy as well as paying to unlock pro features ($20 one-time payment) to push to a remote repository.

Also not OP, but personally I have a few gripes with Logseq: - No export to PDF. There's a community plugin, but it's not great. The workaround is to export to HTML and print to PDF, but there's no real iOS option there. - Ma

I think that's a limitation of the Files API. In the least, I've yet to come across an app that allows syncing with third-party storage apps through Files. I've only seen one-way saving or using the file picker to retrieve

This reminded me of the episode of Silicon Valley where Gilfoye and Dinesh build chat bots to take their place for all the boring work chats. Then, the bots end up chatting with each other causing a feedback loop that overloads the building

Some states have criminal defamation statutes, which is why I mentioned it depends on the case. I could've made that more clear though. As another comment mentioned, Ohio isn't one of those states though. My main point was that so

If it's libelous, couldn't it be? I'm not saying that's the case here, but wanted to point out that defamation is a crime, or tort depending on the case.

Maybe they mean aesthetically? KDE basically makes a clone of their Breeze theme for GTK to try to make all apps have a consistent look on KDE. I believe the reverse is true with an Adwaita theme for KDE/Qt apps, but don't quote m
