I'd like to point out that it's hard to take an opinion seriously that propagates the views of a company to everything that is associated with it. It undermines the actual issues of the company because now every action, person, or

Too bad some people can't even reach the keyboard switcher button when holding the phone with one hand. It makes the one-hand options pointless if I need both hands just to activate it. It's now as far to the left of the screen as

In my opinion, macOS is definitely FF's weakest desktop platform. I've personally experienced terrible performance, out-of-place UI for the platform (e.g. default dropdowns), and just a generally less polished experience compared

I think it was fixed. It’s working just fine now, but it was borked when I posted the comment.

All browsers on iOS basically use Safari on the backend since Apple doesn’t allow other browser engines on the App Store. My guess would be that it affects all, but I don’t know for sure. I haven’t seen other browsers mentioned anywhere.

It’s just iOS. But, considering that all browsers have to basically use Safari (or rather WebKit/WebViews) on the backend, I would assume it affects any browser on iOS. With that said, that’s just a guess and I do not know for sure.

Startpage already uses Google results. I guess Google's "personalized results" must have a significant impact if you've noticed differences.

macOS does not harass you about being the default browser. All it does is show a separator in the dropdown menu [1], which I've always assumed to indicate that it's "built-in". Meanwhile, Windows will show "Recommen

I mean, you just used both of the ones that you mentioned in this comment alone, unless that was intentional. I think it sounds fine, so long as the writing is not intended to be super formal.

If the valuable information could damage the company, I believe it would fall under corporate espionage. But, IANAL. Others may be able to provide a better response.

To play devil's advocate, I can see the version numbering scheme contributing more attention to the lack of updates from OEMs from the average user. Although I have no empirical data to support it, I can imagine there's a lot of p

Even if it gets fixed, how would TSA know that? If TSA doesn't check at all, then the "solution" is relying on people following a rule that has no enforcement. How many people are going to actually read these articles to know

From the article, they mention that it was for improving facial recognition unlock. Could it be plausible that they're trying to test facial recognition in real world situations/lighting (e.g. outside in the park on a sunny day)?

I was referring to detecting and distinguishing signals when someone is simply thinking of the word yes or no, similar to what you would expect from telepathy. But like I said in my previous comment, it’s an important step nonetheless for m

Looking at it again, you’re right. That isn’t Localite. I should’ve said localization system instead. I’m not familiar with Brainsight and I haven’t been involved with the research using Localite in a couple of years, so I missed that.

Yeah from the image at the start of the article, it looks like they’re using TMS. You can see the coil sticking out to the right behind the man facing the camera. It’s attached to a blue arm. Furthermore if you look to the right of the coil

Just to add on Apple using OSM, Apple actually uses a mixture of its own data, OSM, TomTom, and other geodata brokers. However from what I understand, Apple maps uses the others as a fallback when its own data doesn't cover a specific

Google doesn’t really have a “motto” or “corporate philosophy” publicly available anymore. It’s just the Code of Conduct now. “Don’t be evil” used to be in the preface, but it was moved to the end of their Code of Conduct. However, it does
