So some little camwhore decided to try and viral her porn site and it backfired? I'm struggling to find any sympathy.

A lovely piece of conjecture, complete with pop-culture and drug references.

I heard the same thing happened to another link aggregator.

At least when I still browsed /b/, gore was almost entirely to dissuade people from browsing. The logic being that if you couldn't get over it, you weren't all that welcome.

Just a little bit of confirmation bias there, from my own experience. That notwithstanding, 4chan most definitely has a higher rate of homosexuals than the rest of the internet.

If you really think the use of fag and faggot reflects homophobia, you need to take a step back and look at where you are - the internet. Do you think that people posting gore do it because they enjoy the content? It's all shock value.

There is plenty of excellent content (consequently, statistics), you just have to look a little harder. I would hazard a guess that you've taken a quick glance and dismissed the entire community. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I lost a lot back when they were ~$20 a pop and you could still crunch them. I lost enough to put me off completely. Nice to know my caution isn't entirely paranoia induced.

I like how they call it a "nation-state sponsored cyber-espionage toolkit", and then go on to refer to its unknown creators.

While I've had a tinker with both Mono and Android, I haven't used Mono on Android. I have however, had the displeasure of using it on GNU+Linux. I'd sooner do a UI rewrite than touch Mono again.

About time. Gnome has been suffering from 'feature' creep for years. As of late it has gone from merely unpleasant, to barely usable.

I can't help but briefly consider the proportion of existing iOS (or Android, for that matter) developers who are high school kids.
