The findings are interesting, however I don't think that such a small sample can be used to make any conclusive assumptions and I think that these findings should be taken with a grain of salt. Since all these studies tend to have quit

Intersex does not necessarily mean agender/nonbinary. Intersex refers to the genetic sex of the person (i.e. like male or female), whereas nonbinary and agender refer to gender identification (like man or woman). An intersex person can

I'm quite sad the the animated PNG format never caught on. Not only does it have a technical edge over GIF (full alpha channel transparency, more color channels, etc.) but it also tends to have better compression/smaller file size

Except the bot is causing things to be written to the server. The ad blocker is only blocking requests from happening (and those requests occur on the client side, in JavaScript). It's not blocking the transmission from the server'

I don't think so. The code of the bot is interfering with the actions of a remote server. An ad blocker works locally.

I actually tried doing something like this maybe a year back, but it got out of my scale in terms of complexity vs the amount of time I was willing to put into it. Having to manage jar and asset patches, replacements, additions, deletions (

This got me thinking, how feasible would an implementation of APL be as a DSL embedded inside of Agda (or some other similar language)?

That's true though. You argued why they're not necessary but not that they're there. And C# still lacks a solution to the ML module system, GADTs, and other advanced features of OCaml.

Kind of. It's a bit awkward to get it running on Windows, but somehow (by accident) I managed to do a fully functioning installation on Cygwin. That said, many of the packages have still not been ported to Windows, so my recommendation

From what I've heard, Jane Street mainly (or at least often) hires developers who have never before used OCaml or even functional programming in general.

I think that live coding can serve as a really good tool if you do it right and it applies directly to what you're doing. For example, it works well in this demo https://youtu.be/Agu6jipKfYw because it's a demo of

I also thought the fact that the author was suggesting moving the factories instead of working to fix the problem was pretty non-sensical.

I'm not very fond of the admins on there (but not really in the same sense). I signed up maybe the first week that the website was up and found a bug. I reported it to the admins, who then criticized me of trying to hack their website

Other languages have the pipe operator as well, actually. As far as I know, these were introduced from F#, which has had the same |> operator (along with the analogous <|) since before Elixir existed.

There are actually a lot of languages that do it in the same way as Ceylon does. However, Haskell goes a step further than most other languages by defining Maybe as a monad in the standard library.
