Yeah tried to mention that in my comment. You were switching between 3 physical caps, but the transistor(s) in the wah circuit let you use a potentiometer to alter the way the cap reacts in the circuit by reducing the sheer number of electr

Interesting article, although the LC circuit (resonant low pass circuit) is something I would teach my students as a phys lab TA, I feel like the key is the inductor and the cap more than the pot. The issue with the MRB costing more was th

matlab was originally released as a fortran library (pre 1.0), so it keeps a lot of that heritage even though it's probably c/c++ now: http://www.mathworks.com/company/newsletters/articles/the-or...

This is somewhat similar to the streaming producer/consumer from another rust crate: https://github.com/Geal/nom perhaps they could be interoperable.

Missed in the media frenzy is that at least one company has offered a complete ECU upgrade for VW/Audi TDIs for a while: goapr.com ... plus homebrew. And VW never sicced DMCA on them.

The tie ins with the google dataflow paper are at least superficial (if not deeper on deeper reading) in that they mention: "latency, correctness and cost" as their drivers: http://blog.acolyer.org/2015/08

sooperlooper is such a solid program. Awesome use and smart to not reinvent the looping core of the system.

Definitely control flow not data flow, but the data is defined at each step of the graph in variables like normal. In Frank McSherry's Rust stuff and the Naiad stuff they seem to have a basic data structure of progress and "data

Interesting how this could tie into the diagrams coming out of the dataflow paradigm (flumejava, flink, millwheel, naiad, and Frank McSherry's rust timely-dataflow). All of which can be succinctly diagrammed out, but I like the rigor

I had made a comment on twitter that the ref: concept basically throws json off the indecidability cliff in terms of parsing. They opened an issue for it apparently, but you can see the graphql rfc has specific anti-cycle checks, which is

I definitely support this sentiment w/r/t the single threaded mindset of node and their async all the things approach. The only question with Go is if we guarantee sync libs, then where is the good async example code? I agree li

You're perhaps confusing polyamory with polygamy/polyandry? To put it in hacker terms, polygamy / polyandry is forcing an edge reduction creating a hub and spoke architecture when the arrangement has to be a 1 to n-1 mesh. Th

That's a polyamorous (group) marriage, not a polygamist one (at least as per my definition of those somewhat amorphous terms) That said all of the legal agreements become far more complicated and likely null and void if one person drop

How could it be consensual between all adults? The marriage "license" in polygamy is between man and women, yet by secondary effects the women are fully entangled with one another. Yet if you watch any show on polygamy you'

Polygamy makes no sense from a power structure standpoint, it is inherently unequal. The man (generally) gets X women and each woman gets one man (the same man). If polygamy meant a web of relationships, where everyone was equally married

Not to mention most importantly JSON is firmly on one side of the undecidability cliff in terms of parsing limits. The nesting limits and length limits make parsing it safe, whereas a given binary protocol may have recursion or buffer size
