True, I actually did that myself when I impulse bought one at an art supply store since it was at the checkout counter. It's a great way to find out if you're interested in experimenting with pens, or if you just want a no-fuss to

Can you also use cartridges with the TWSBI Eco? A first pen should give you the option. I haven't tried the Pilots, but the standard cartridge could change my recommendation to them.

I assume you mean the nib wrote scratchy. Honestly, troubleshooting that issue is something you have to be prepared for if you have a fountain pen. I haven't used enough of any nib to know if some of them have genuine design or quality

For anyone with a budding or casual interest in fountain pens, the Lamy Safari is the way to go. They're plentiful, inexpensive, rugged, and have plenty of nibs, cartridges, and refillable cartridges to experiment with. Just pick your

Good question. The proven model so far is reducing funding. Some universities found new ways to raise money by offering online and async course modalities. This benefits students who need the extra flexibility, and it's probably the mo

Higher education isn't made for people with a family life. There's no real reason for this, but there's no pressure to change it because there's always someone else in line ready to take your place.

It had to be the appointee. The analysis was squashed at a low level by a procedural technicality, and the issue was too significant for the agency head to be uninvolved. On paper though, everyone's hands are clean.

In practice it tends to be more cathartic than constructive. The advocate is always going to have a greater stake in their cause than the middle man. I wrote my original comment that way because I prefer to discuss strategies for advocates.

I'm not really concerned about that. You're right that propagandists will always find a way to exploit whatever you say or don't say, no matter how you say it. It's a fool's errand to try to manipulate the discourse
