Not so good with out of control house prices, fueled by safe-haven demand … at least we won’t run out of freshwater as fast as Oz will … still, Mosman is heaps above Kits / Point Grey in my opinion! NYC is really a dump though. West Co

When you mentioned Grand Designs, I was expecting a link to the FACIT [0] house! I suppose that's CNC or cutting/routing based though... [0] https://vimeo.com/53932758

Oh the joys of tweenage discovery! For me it was writing programs in dbase+ and lotus123 ... much later I did MFC and a precursor whose name escapes me now... what a programming dead end that was!

Interesting ramble and thank you for sharing. I would be curious to hear more about the interesting interactions based on the caste they grew up in! I will say that of the people from other cultures that I've worked with in my life

Could the article have been by Robert Sapolsky? He discusses something like that in one of his later books, the one with a chimp on the cover where he talks about how male chimps leave their childhood tribes and head out to seek mates... an

Mac trackpads are unmatched (yay/boo Fingerworks!) but you could always use an external mac touchpad. In any case, shortcut keys are abundant in Linux desktops, and a tiling wm (I like the default one in Pop OS) really changes the game

I switched from a MBP to a Thinkpad for flexibility & performance: hexa-core processor, 64GB RAM, 3 disks (NVME+SSD+HDD) running Linux (pop-os) with the intent of running OSX in VMs. I didn't like the iOS-ification of OSX, and this

There’s also the possibility that although other regimes were counterfeiting the greenback through the Cold War, Americans weren’t affected (due to the high demand for the greenback) and couldn’t do much about state actors like DPRK anyway.

It's actually that you aren't qualified to say who's competent. The CEO can't hire a tech competent CTO and that multiplies down the line. In the absence of a tech savvy judiciousness they fall back on fluff like "d
