This reminds me, a friend of mine recently indicated that Dropbox has become an Amazon graveyard due to the mass exodus of talent from Dropbox to other companies that feel like Dropbox did about 5 years ago. Without their perks and fancy fo

I’ve started writing a bit of very niche technical docs that mostly help future me. Then I was looking at my analytics and I’m getting 5-8x more views on those posts (100-200 views a month), compared to my posts about my life, keyboards, ot

Yes, SOL of living has been going downhill in the Bay Area in the last 10 years. I grew up here and I can see everything just getting old and uncared for. Moving to Portland in 2022.

This is petty and very awkward to read, sounds like something you’d find on someone’s Facebook feed. I wonder who proofread this and thought “yup, this will bring us good publicity and solidify us as the good guys”

If I'm just interested in something, Youtube/video formats are great. If I am an intermediate/advance user of a technology, I want docs and API references that I can search around on from time to time when using the technolog

Used Dashlane for 2-3 years and then tried 1Password and I haven’t looked back. Dashlane has too many bugs to be useful all the time.

Read through most of this and I was thinking this is a pretty weird thing to get implanted. In which world would it be necessary to have a payment implant? With Coronavirus, it’s clear contactless payments are becoming common place. But I’d

I don’t see why this is even a complaint... Apple sends users notifications before the trial ends and you can easily just cancel. I guess apps I’ve used already have this auto-billing implemented because I don’t think I’ve confirmed my subs

This post is a summary of how I feel about a lot of google products as well. Especially email, yes google has amazing AI to figure out spam but the UX of gmail just feels like I'm still in 2012 or 2015 with email. I've been using

I'm curious to see how many of my friends will stop using Google Translate on their phones and just go with Apple's new translation app coming in iOS 14. It probably will be like Maps where the first year or two were just a joke a

I've done something similar to this that has worked for me without a lot of effort besides the first time setup. I use Fathom which is open-source and available to use on any hosting service. I use it with DigitalOcean so it's $5&

My Prius prime has the worst controls possible. During spring and fall, when one part of the day is cold and the other warm, it’s annoying to turn on the car. For instance, if I commute home and used A/C, turning on the car in the morn

I thought their $5/mo machines are the cheapest on the internet for the specs available. Are there cheaper options? I’m hosting a low traffic page that gets maybe 500-1000 views a month and even at $5/mo it seems overkill IMO.

Same page as you in San Francisco, plus houses are prohibitively expensive here so that doesn’t help convince me to buy. Commute is currently 12-17 mins depending on how I get there, I don’t want to lose that just yet.
