Amen to that, after avoiding kubernetes at home for so long (run a quite a lot of clusters at work in production and while not a nightmare, it is a lot of work) - I've now moved most of my self-hosted stuff to k3s. It's been a joy

I'm completely with you on that, after those Jeep hacks that came out a few years back I think an internet connection on my vehicle is kind of the last thing I want. Maybe I'm just paranoid though.

Same for me but with an actual real usable truck. I know that they tend to get vilified around here but as someone who uses the functions of it every single day, I have a feeling we're going to be waiting a while.

I see used Tesla's around but I think the used market is still very small around them. Does Tesla sell the used lease trade ins? What are people even trading in a 3 year old Model 3 for? Another Model 3?

Not having to stare at the screen to type is such a huge thing for me, also I've completely disabled auto-correct. I'm really sad that it feels like we're dwindling down on physical keyboard phones.

It was a bit hacky, i just had rtl_433 output the values as json, piped them into a mqtt topic and used node-red to inject the values in influxdb nothing fancy

I use postmark to do my delivery. They support outbound smtp that my internal postfix relays to and you pay per email even tho they gave me so many free credits I havent paid anything.

Same, home assistant really just acts as a consistent-ish api to all my home devices. That said I only use smart devices I control over my LAN and none that require I interact with a companies provided API.

My only complaint with cloudron is that the auto-update mechanism requires a subscription. You can manually upgrade, but it's awkward and I broke it more than once while trying.
