If I took a 500k plot of land and built a 100k house on it, why does it need to be priced at 1.5m?

I think slices are actually passed by value. From "Effective Go": "We must return the slice afterwards because, although Append can modify the elements of slice, the slice itself (the run-time data structure holding the point

I guess what sort of domains do people like to play around with in their own time? For games there's 3d rendering, physics and AI which seem fun (at least to me) but I'm not sure how to necessarily make fun challenges out of them

I use GCP and the support I've gotten with a silver plan (their lowest) has been surprisingly good. Low priority stuff like bug reports have been forwarded to developers and occasionally fixed. High priority tickets I've seen a v

The only difference is that finding the dependencies can be a pain if they changed location, or github is down, or the specific version isn't a specific git commit or something like that. Since there's no real difference, it doesn

I'm not sure that ticket is crazy. Having fixed price tickets disproportionally punishes the poor. Having them based on income seems much more fair. $500 may be worth more to someone who can barely afford gas for their car to get to

Well what if the people enforcing this particular law do so only because they are getting some percentage of the ticket fee? It could lead to, for instance, inappropriately low speed limits and an inordinate amount of police work on traffic

If they were going 5mph at all times, there would be even less people dying in traffic. Unless you count wasting their time waiting in 5mph traffic.

Yeah except now you can't move out of your current house. If you move across the street to a house worth as much as your current house you could end up paying 5x property taxes.

Git makes it way harder than necessary to do all these things and has a steep learning curve (generally a euphemism for bad design). I'm proposing that you can get all the benefits you talk about but in a far more usable manner. I li
