I'm sick of this stuff. CBS keeps shutting down works of love from fans of their show. This is due to Copyright law being too draconian. Star Trek is a cultural heritage and shouldn't be used by CBS to attack fans any more.

Even if it did, that would just delay your signal loss by 10 seconds. It only receives a signal so there's no way it could catch up with what it missed. A modern service could broadcast music files to your radio and then just schedule

I wonder if a satellite that would collect and beam down solar energy using microwaves would help future rovers eventually. Maybe NASA wouldn't do that in fear of the beam damaging something they want to study.

It's not mesh. It's just a typical data radio. If the person you want to communicate with isn't in range then you can't bounce the signal through other people.
