.5gb of cache for 288 cores is fairly limited. AMD 9684X from two years ago has 6x the cache per core, and also much more memory bandwidth per core. I'd really like to see more chips with 100+gb of eDRAM. Most things I've run tha

you can pretty much directly use error correcting codes to perform cryptography, however. :P A little trickier to use them to program.

It is, they trained on chatgpt output. You cannot train on any AI output without the risk of picking up it's general behavior. Like even if you aggressively filter out all refusal examples, it will still gain refusals from totally ben

Bad advice scammers/malware have huge tables of addresses they've generated that agree in the first N and last N characters. If a user is going to compare a subset they should make an effort to make it be an unpredictable subset.

What an interesting flashback-- as of the last three days I'm starting to see again this sort of strange offtopic harassment following me around the internet. In any case, what Satoshi remarks were you referring to? Perhaps his last r

I dunno that we disagree. My point was just that its easier to put a finger on the scale when any improvement, non-improvement, or even the existence of a disease itself is more subjective. Like, we can't sell treatment's for peo

The timing receivers often have other advantages beyond just sawtooth, including stuff like being able to produce a time pulse with a single working satellite in view once their position is learned.

You can just google for varrious wrong but almost right values of pi and find many examples. People copy and paste wrong stuff all the time.

GPS timing modules should have a sawtooth correction value that will tell you the error between the upcoming pulse and GPS time. The issue is that PPS pulse has to be aligned to the receiver's clock. Using that will remove the main

In my experience can cut out the vast majority of ssh connection attempts by just blocking a couple IPs. ... particularly if you've already disabled password auth because some of the smarter bots notice that and stop trying.
