I've never heard of Roborock and cant find much availability in Europe which might explain the one price I did find. Shame, the Dyson won't cut it once I move to a bigger place.

I agree with all of this. I've had mine 5 years now, the battery life was never greatand unsurprisingly it's not getting any better... Would I'd buy another? Probably not. I heard Shark is supposed to be pretty good.

I thought this was going to be about https://developer.spotify.com/community/news/2022/04/12/libs... (which did impact Psst very briefly but the maintainer was very quick to fix/hack it). In th

I was using xsv a lot at work (it is so much faster than csvkit) but I've recently jumped to qsv, a fork with more features. https://github.com/jqnatividad/qsv

Exactly. And what's even more brilliant is that it entirely depends on the exchange rates at the start and end of the period. So a zero gain (or even a loss) over that period in the UK can still result in US tax owed.

As I understand it, it's this refinancing that leads US citizens in the UK ending up with a surprising US capital gains bill after they re-mortgage their UK property. And we also (normally) have ERCs in the UK so as usual, the rest is

I think it's both of those reasons. Collecting commission on one 10-year mortgage, or five 2-year mortgages... I doubt they get 5x for the longer term, if anything. I'd like to understand how people think about a longer-term fixed

I believe the low power mode is required (by UK law, at least) to be enabled by default. It's pointless otherwise as almost nobody will go and enable that mode.

Does the same free cancellation apply in the UK? I couldn't find it on the website (and I've long since uninstalled the app as I'm fed up of their drivers cancelling on me constantly).

This is also part of Morgan Spurlock's Super Size Me 2. Which I didn't realise existed until last week. I found it and an enjoyable/uncomfortable watch although The Guardian were less keen. https://en.m.wikipedia.o

There's a 2021 episode[1] of BBC Sideways that looks at this same thing and specifically features both Beyonce and this same kids study. It's worth a listen, as is the podcast in general. I don't recall Syed mentioning this e

Definitely. I can imagine the sky above a major race almost turning dark as 40,000 drones hover overhead. Sounds very unrealistic (and horrible). More static cameras would suffice. And GPS watch data where available.

Good news: in stock including US shipping at https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/raspberry-pi-zero-2-w for less than $25. Probably cheaper from US resellers but I'll leave that to you. Yes, one per customer, which
