For anyone in the UK and desperate, there is some "refurbished" Pi 4 and 3B stock at https://www.okdo.com/c/pi-shop/the-raspberry-pi/ it's not RRP but there's a PSU and case included. For

When is it due to actually be available? Announced 10 months ago and seems only started sampling last month. Any evidence they aren't also going to get shafted by the shortages? And as always, this is the biggest problem with Rock stuf

Yes. At least, they did at the other recent popups. > Raspberry Pi 4 (2GB, 4GB, and 8GB) will be in stock at the pop-up. Please be aware that we’re limiting Raspberry Pi 4 to one of these computers per person. Note that the limit is one

What is wrong with Tidal Connect ( https://tidal.com/Connect ) ? Honest question, have never used it. Don't you need to badger Yamaha to support it in your old hardware? But even if the old hardware was getting updates,

Anything offline? Sorry, when I said "my google photos" I actually meant the photo folder on my NAS that is partially populated with the result of a Google Takeaway last year. I used to use Google Photos but I stopped.

I personally think it's a bit mad to trust Google, the champions of shutting things down / changing terms, with your email. Companies like Fastmail make switching easy and they don't muck around as it's their only produ

I don't have a Synology, is it really 45W 24/7?! Is 45W the lower power mode number? I'm assuming it has a mode where the cpu sleeps and the disks spin down, and it must spend most of its time in that mode. If not, I'm v

For sure, but it doesn't cost £15 to fix your insulation. For those of us with solid walls it's expensive and very disruptive to install internal/external wall cladding. I happen to live in an area where I'm not even al

The alternative I was hoping for was a non-free (firmware only?) repo was enabled by default to support the non-free software that was installed by default. The alternative to not install required non-free firmware is not an option we need

So that means you can end up installing some non-free firmware, potentially buggy/broken, and get zero updates for it without manual intervention? I don't think I would have expected that. Is it such a leap to now also enable the

At the risk of looking dumb here, don't incremental builds take care of this, how is caching different? ? Make gives me incremental builds and my makefile lets me define the inputs and the outputs. What am I missing with Bazel?!

Same. We pay millions of dollars for our simulator licenses. Same again for physical design/layout licenses. These are for the standard ('best') industry tools, no IP. No idea what you get for $1k.
