Cursor was way, way better than Copilot before agent mode, which has just been released this month. Not to mention it has have MCP for quite awhile before Copilot.

Oh I am aware of all the patterns. I'm also aware that "Later" instead of "No" is simply an UI convention, that doesn't neccessarily mean "I'm gonna spam you", unless you have evidence?

How dare they put a pop-up promoting a feature of a software inside that software, like, once. Do they think they get a pass because only nagging pop-ups are considered ad? /s

the only reason I can think of is for the dot notation assignment (not clashing with the class keyword). No one cares about consistency with DOM API in this context. Given the syntax, they most definitely expect consistency with HTML

I have yet to see these mythical HATEOAS compliant applications, they must be so amazing and simple, example anyone? And if it turns out that there is no such thing, should I conclude that all these people talking about it really just base

Childhood dream aside, this to me seems like a much more legit use of AI than, say, generative art, so lame and pointless.

I like terminal aesthetic, and I think the modeen equivalent of it is high constrast UI, plus minimalistic elements. Forcing character cells onto the web is dumb.

Does Cody have an agent mode? I have the free vesion and it doesn't seem to. IMO coding assistant without agent mode is useless, it's useful just only for asking questions. Copilot used to be much worse than Cursor but they have a

The majority of this industry thinks leetcode is shit. It's some skill for sure, just not such an important skill that it becomes the de facto key test for software engineers.

No confirmation from MS, but as usual conspiracy theorists are confident in the final conclusion. You'd think if the release of copilot's Agent mode is what prompted this move, they'd be doing it in those languages more popul

This is the same to "why do we need inheritance", although less obvious. Grouping things is humans' instinct, but it may not map nicely to reality where everything belongs to more than one categories.

The context here is AI assisted engineering and you raised the point that non-engineering productivity is more important for engineers, which I think is absurd. You can have 10x engineering productivity boost and still complete work in the

The rules are not that many, you can omit semicolons everywhere except 1. Before open square bracket 2. Before open parenthesis. That's it, those are the only 2 edge cases.

I find it hard to believe that when the AI generates crap code, there is absolutely nothing you can do (change the prompt, modify context, add examples) to make it do what you want. It has not been my experience either. I only use AI to mak
