Not unlike voice mode on the ChatGPT mobile app, pretty responsive to me. Existing voice assistants do not set a high bar.

When I still had my iPad 2 a few year back, I could not find any app that still run on it except for a few games for my cat. After that it became his iPad.

No one is holding back software. You're not running local LLM or anything useful, you're adding performance cost for merely displaying icons on screen.

This looks like Windows 11's promotional video but we know Apple's UI is going to look exactly like it, for real and not just for show.

No the person I replied to made the argument that tool calling or MCP is uneccessary because why not just make the LLM generate any code on the fly to do anything instead. They think there should be just one tool: eval. Surprisingly many pe

> LLM is so clever it can write programs to drive any API It is not, name one software that has a LLM generating code on the fly to call APIs. Why do people have this delusion?

Are you specifically looking for reasons to be offended? Even if a human said this, it would have been completely fine.

The current state of agent in the last batch of project launches (copilot agent, jules, devin...) is to take over and do things in a PR like you want. However the vedict is still out there in terms of whether these implementation prove more

Why focus on the 6 months or however long you think the cycle is. The milestones of AI coding are self-explanatory: autocomplete (shit) -> multi-files edit (useful for simple cases) -> agent (feedback loop with rag & tool use), th

Yes, it has alway been working like that, but you couldn't add a search engine that doesn't have an opensearch.xml published (eg chatgpt), make custom search egines such as only search github in your org, or mix and match them su

I don't have access to Dia but I have tried Deta Surf, which is a browser very similar to Arc. Their AI integration is better. You can refer to tabs and other things you save in the same workspace, when you chat with the AI.

the thing with building interconnected software is that we should resist the urge to just let the AI perform magic and somehow reliably mix and match all these overlapping things. We should have ONE clearly defined contract. There is no evi

if it returned dom elements it should not be standardized either. JS is supposed to move forward with clean abstractions, not blindly inherit things from the web that happen to be convenient to some people.

Idk if I learned more from actually typing code or debugging and looking at the output/logs, sometimes even running code in my mind to figure out the problems. Maybe it's just "cursory".
