As an aside, what is the 'vastly superior' FOSS alternative to Sharepoint? I've looked at Alfresco, but it was a pain to install and configure. Also, it doesn't seem to be 'true' FOSS because we get access to d

That coinage is sweet! 'run a flow'. The users of the future will not browse anytjing. They will run flows, and it will be natural :-) Content about content! It's so meta.

A thought: one way to do this might be having a service diffing the HTML of whatever page guide X is for. For things like Facebook your diff would have to be smart enough to differentiate between 'content' and 'structure'

How do you intend on keeping track of change to sites? Eg, Gmail tutorials for the old compose interface will soon be rendered obsolete. How will you deal with aging, increasingly inaccurate content? The rot will be slow and correction will

This. I get the feeling that 'the West' is looking for 'pop-a-pill' solutions for everything. I've seen it said many times in HN comments surrounding depression that these drugs are not the answer to depression. I t

Perhaps its because our rights (as foreigners) are not being recognised at all. One thing is to violate whilst recognising, the other is to just not recognise (in which case no violation exists).

Actually, the existence of the person is inferred only by the presence of the text. As an aside, if this were a dream the inference would still work, but the conclusion would be false (as the poster obviously has no existence independent of

I would take POST data, and plug it into a templating system (like Django's), which is using something like LaTeX to define the basic properties of the document and populating with data and logic from Django. Basically a mix of two ma

This is a key idea behind the "ladder of fall" (of man) presented in the Bhagavad Gita Ch2, verses 62 & 63, which I will quote here for your convenience: 62. A man musing on objects develops attachment for them, from attachment arises

Thanks for the reply. I don't mind scifi too much, but let's hope that the movies aren't skewed too far that way. Besides, a list of 'exceptional' scifi movies won't necessarily be a bad thing I hope :-)
