It may be something to do with audio, see Chromium's console: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1gpEX5mTiDO7hkJEkOzqhbSBnbW... Does the entire web page depend on audio working?

If I may ask, why do you care about your touch pad? At least for me, it pains me to use a touchpad while knowing I could interface with the computer faster with a mouse. BTW, the jumpiness is probably configurable, see https://wi

There is a pattern of deprecating working software and trying to replace it with experimental stuff, with the design of that experimental stuff often being oriented largely toward less-technical users, with some detriment to old/power

What your saying is consistent with your parent's hypothesis. Compare GP's > declare it deprecated, and propose/impose a replacement that you push as 'better'. Better for what, in which way? It doesn't matte

A pattern definitely appears to exist ;) People complain about Systemd the most; but I fear Wayland more, it will be horrible for power-users if it pushes out X Windows.

I also wanted to point to Numworks as an alternative calculator. It uses a 216 MHz ARMv7-M Cortex-M7 microcontroller and is almost open-source (both the hardware and the software, called Epsilon). https://www.numworks.com/re

I do not know much about it, but I remember Giac being hacked onto the Numworks Epsilon software. Maybe check out Numworks, too, I am going to make a comment now about it here, too. https://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~paris

Where did you learn (or, more generally, where do people learn) about those Sum types? The Wikipedia page for "Sum type" redirects to "Tagged union", implying those are synonyms; do you agree with that? Sadly, that Wikip

One thing that should also be noted is that ARX hashes are relatively less well suited to silicon implementations. The Keccak team published a short and poignant relevant blog post back in 2017 as an answer to that notorious "Maybe ski

Disappointed they went with an ARX based hash, instead of KangarooTwelve, which uses the Keccak permutation. A lot of people on this thread think that SHA2 is more secure because it is older, but it is my understanding that that is complete
